Welcome to The Birdie, our beloved beach house on Kiawah Island. Our connection to this natural paradise began in 2014 when we first visited with our young children. Since then, we've returned every summer, exploring more of this beautiful island each time.

This is where our daughter learned to ride her bike, our son fell in love with fishing, and we all have cherished memories. We return to old favorites annually—a scoop of ice cream from Beaches & Cream, oysters at Mingo Point, sand castle building on the beach, and game nights around the dining room table. Every summer, our kids have grown a little older—we are older, too—but Kiawah remains a place where we return to reconnect, relax, and unwind. It is cheesy, but this is our Happy Place and continues to be where we look forward to returning each summer.

In January of 2023, we purchased 159 Bluebill Court. We embarked on extensive renovations, transforming this home into a place we would love and feel at home and a place to share with our guests visiting and enjoying the island. We have a decade of experience renting various houses on the island, and we applied our observations as renters to the design of this home to welcome you. We named it The Birdie, an ode to the island’s reputation as a golfer’s paradise and to the local birds that call this natural habitat their home.
